Bluefield Software builds the system farmers markets run on. We bring years inside the vendor and space management industry and decades of building software, and we are here for the long run.
Where we come from
Greg spent years at a company that builds space and vendor management software. Farmers markets kept asking for help, and he kept having to turn them away because the company would not take on the work. He knew what they needed and could not give it to them.
Owen spent twenty years building software, from early startups to Salesforce and Tableau. He left big tech to get back to smaller companies and real-world problems. Markets are exactly that. The people using the software run a market every week, and they will tell you plainly whether it worked.
Bluefield is where those two paths met: a company built to serve markets well, for years, with people who understand the industry and the craft of building for it.

Lead with curiosity
We listen first, to the managers and vendors we build for and to each other. Understanding how someone actually works comes before deciding what to build for them.
Built to last
A good tractor or a well-made knife is something you depend on season after season, and software should be no different. Like the growers and makers at the markets we serve, we take pride in the work: every part properly engineered, and a little better each year.
Show, don’t tell
We would rather put a working answer in front of you than a promise about one. If we say we can do something, we show you.
Strong opinions, loosely held
Years in this industry give us a clear point of view, and we act on it with confidence. When new information arrives, we change our minds.
